Intentional Interruption

Uncategorized Dec 03, 2019

This week’s Intentional Tuesday is going to be a little different.  I’ll jump right to the punchline and then circle back to fill in the details.

This is going to be the last Intentional Tuesday episode for 2019.  Between now and the new year, I’m going to be focusing on a couple of other big projects and also thinking about how I want this platform to look going forward.  I won’t disappear entirely, but I am going to hit pause on the weekly Intentional Tuesday episodes.

I’ve always said that if something is worth doing, it’s worth doing right.  In many ways, I feel as though I’ve been Living By Default when it comes to Intentional Tuesdays.  I set the goal of doing one episode per week and I’ve stuck with that practice.

For the most part, I feel like the practice has served me and I’ve been able to serve you through this practice.  But for the past couple of months, that feeling has shifted.  More and more, I’ve been feeling like producing these episodes is a chore.  As a result, I feel that I’m compromising my quality and my connection with you, my audience.

Even the most intentional designs can turn to default over time.

Rather than blindly defaulting to the plan that I designed at the beginning of the year, I’m going to take a step back and take some of my own advice.  I’m going to redesign my day-to-day activities to better serve me and hopefully to better serve you.  Exactly what that will look like in 2020, I’m not sure.

In the meantime, I’m going to be focusing my energy and attention on some of the commitments that I’ve been neglecting.  I’m going to focus on resting my body and my mind.  I’m going to focus on being fully present with my family and my friends during the holidays.

I hope that you’ll be focusing on what matters most to you.

I look forward to reconnecting with you in the new year, though I’m sure our paths will cross between now and then.  If you have any suggestions or feedback for me, please don’t hesitate to reach out.  I’m always grateful to hear from you and to hear your thoughts on the best way that I can serve.

Until next time,
Prosperous Journey,
-zog
